After connecting Anne Frank to an episode of The Simpsons, my mind is a bit fried. I had planned on adding a new chapter to my existing ToS fic, but as I said, my mind's, like, dead. So instead, here's this random little discussion about sugary stuff. Random oneshots can be therapuetic.

Pearberries and Gumdrops
Raine stared blankly at the starry sky. She was laying on a small towel that she had packed. There were only ever two reasons for Raine to do this: either 1, she was studying the stars, or 2, she couldn't fall asleep. Tonight she was only out because she had nothing better to do.
As she layed on her back doing not much at all, Zelos came over.
"Someone smells pretty..." he observed.
"Pearberry." Raine stated as Zelos sat on the grass next to her.
"Hey Raine," Zelos asked. "What the heck is a pearberry anyways?"
She rolled over and propped herself up on her elbows to think. "To tell the truth..." she said quietly. "I have no idea." She said, throwing herself on the ground.
"Well... we know it definitley has do do with a pear, right?" Zelos asked.
"Right... and some sort of berry... Raspberries?... Blueberries maybe?"
Zelos acted as though he was thinking. "..." He smiled at Raine. "... Cherry berries!" he declared, laughing.
Raine sighed and rolled over again. She stared intently back into the stars, almost as though they now held the answer to their random little question. "... Do you think they'd make good gumdrops?" she asked.
"What?" Zelos asked.
"Pearberries." she reminded him.
"Hmm... probably..." he answered. "But they'd make better smoothies, dont'cha think?"
"You may be on to something..." Raine pointed out. "A pearberry smoothie does sound really good."
Zelos sighed and streched out next to Raine. "You're making me hungry, y'know..."
Raine smiled. "Sorry!"
Zelos thought on the topic for a while. "Do pearberries even exist?" he asked.
"Nobody really knows..." Raine stated.
Well, how's that for random?
Actually I've been wondering about pearberries for quite awhile now... Does anyone know what the heck they are?
Ah, whatever. I should be back in actual-story-mode soon. Hopefully...
