"No!" she screamed out, running blindly through the falling snow. Catching her foot on a hidden stone the girl tripped, tumbling to the ground and down the incline to her left. Sliding to a stop she lay still, tears swelling in her eyes. "Mommy...Daddy.." she cried out weakly. The pain from her fall had knocked the breath out of her, face and limbs covered in scratches that burned like fire. Her ankle burned and she was lost. This only cause the tears to come to faster. "What happened? Why can't I remember?"
She lay there silent as a warm stream of tears streaked down her face, washing away the dirty snow as it went.
We were...at home...
The chile thought hard, images flashing through her mind, most coming and going too fast for her to comprehend.
Some men and...
Her eyes grew wide in fear "Blood..." The very word stuck in her mind no matter how she fought to forget it. Blood...Everywhere...So much blood...
She curled up in a fetal position as to keep warmth, crying into her small numb hands. The roaring wind sent a chill over her already shivering body. She squeezed tighter in a useless effort to stay warm.

"Poor child all alone. Mommy and Daddy not here to protect you?" came a man's voice, a slight chuckle to his words.

The child looked up spotting a dark figure leaning over. Frozen with fear he eyes grew wide. For some reason he was somewhat familiar. Something about this man made her heart drum in her ears, his cool dark voice made want to run away. Far away from him. From all of this. Despite what she wanted, she couldn't even will herself to blink, let alone stand up and run away. She let out a whimper that had been stuck in her throat, her eyes glazing over with new tears "P-please." was all she could say before her throat constricted once agian.

The man knelt down over her, arms on either side to keep her from running. Now that he was closer, she noticed one thing about him. Sharp crimson red eyes, so dark they seemd to stare into her soul. Raising his right hand, he stroked the girl's soft cheek, his expression one of amusement as he held her gaze. "Why are you fleeing child? Are you afriad of me?" When he recieved no answer he let a chuckle escape, satisfied by her fear-stricken face. "Hmm, no matter. It saves me the trouble of chasing you any longer."
She cried out as his hand gripped her chin harshly, pushing her head up to reveal a pale fragile neck. The man smiled a fanged smile, leaning down to whisper in her ear. What he said sent a chill down her spine, one completely different than one caused by the cold winds. It caused her mind to scream out in fear.
"Don't worry child. You'll be joining them soon."
