I hate you
I hate the way you appear so troubled
But never tell me anything
And we're supposed to be friends
And I hate the way you look ate her
You love her
And you're not letting her go
Not really
I hate how you see in her
Everything you can't see in me
Even though I know
I could be everything she was
Or I can sure as hell try
I hate how you make me
Say the wrong things
At the wrong times
And how angry you make me
I hate our petty fights
Which aren't actual fights
Because, no matter what,
We end up where we started
I hate how conceited you are
You think you can do everything
You can't take on the world, you know
At least not alone
And here I am, willing to help,
But you just push me away
I hate how, with one hug
Or smile
Or glance
(or even a glare)
You can make my day
And I really hate
How handsome you are
Like a piece of art
Almost unreal
But most of all
Is how, no matter what you do
What I say
Or what they do
I can never hate you
Or anything about you
Even though I wish I could.
