I do not own Sherlock... or John... Mrs. Hudson or Benedict Cumberbatch :(
Right so here's the first chapter of my quick little story about John and Sherlock.
There's... slight... slash. Nothing graphic, I don't think. So if you're not up for that then maybe this might not be for you.
Mrs. Hudson sat in her flat watching the telly. It was nearly 10pm and she was about to head to bed when she heard the jingle of keys and voices at the front door. She got to her feet and went to the hallway to see her renters; she couldn't help but be a little nosy landlady.
Whoever was trying to open the door seemed to be having a bit more trouble than usual. Sherlock's and John's voices were raised; apparently they were having a bit of a tiff. Finally the door was pushed open, and the two men were nearly on top of each other.
Mrs. Hudson smiled, "Well you're home early, boys… I thought you had a case?"
John opened his mouth to explain but Sherlock cut him off, "There's no time Mrs. Hudson." Sherlock tugged John upstairs and Mrs. Hudson noted that their hands were clasped together. She also caught a glimpse of silver around each of their wrists. Sherlock and John disappeared into their flat.
Mrs. Hudson smiled and talked to herself as she shut the door, "That's sweet they've got matching bracelets. Must've gotten the idea from Marty and Ben next door."
She crossed her flat and turned off the television and headed towards her bedroom. A loud thump and crash stopped her in her path and she cast a glance to the flat above. "Ow! Sherlock not so hard."
A blush spread across Mrs. Hudson's cheeks and she giggled softly, "About time." Several more thumps were heard from above. This time Sherlock spoke, "Careful John! That's delicate!"
Deciding that she was not going to be able to sleep with the racket going on upstairs Mrs. Hudson busied herself with straightening her flat. The thuds had become a little softer after Sherlock's outburst but it was still quite loud. She had begun dusting her blinds when she heard them cross the apartment. She was wondering if they were done but then the grunting started. There was another sound that she couldn't place at first. Something was scraping across the wood floor, something heavy. Mrs. Hudson's eyes widened when she realized it was the couch being slow pushed across the floor about an inch at a time.
The blush spread to the tops of her ears, now a bit embarrassed to be hearing this. Why hadn't she gone to bed earlier? She slept like the dead, she wouldn't have been woken up by this but there was no way she could fall asleep with that going on.
"Not here!" she heard John say, something else was said but at a normal speaking volume.
She did hear the response, however. "No, no not in my bedroom!" she heard Sherlock say.
"We haven't tried there yet" there was a pause, "you know you can't keep me out of your bedroom forever. You come in mine all the time…"
Mrs. Hudson heard them moving again, their footsteps heading for Sherlock's bedroom. More bumps and thuds could be heard coming from in there. She had moved on to dusting her bookshelf as she heard the squeak of a mattress springs and the head board slam against the wall. Shaking her head, she crossed to her radio and turned it to BBC 4. The newscaster's chatter drowned out most of the noises from above, except for the very loudest.
The newscaster announced the beginning of a repeat of Cabin Pressure. There was a short gap between the newscaster speaking and the actual program. In this gap she heard John cry out "Sherlock!" There was a loud thunk, followed by a yell and a groan.
Mrs. Hudson sighed and fanned herself. A soft smile spread across her face. She turned off the radio cutting off the pilot's argument over the cheese tray and finally headed to her bed. She chuckled to herself as she closed her bedroom door, she knew John wasn't going to need that extra bedroom for long.
-So this is Mrs. Hudson's point of view... the Sherlock/John one comes next, I have about half of it written so it'll be up in the next couple of days.
-Hope you at least you found it a bit interesting XD
-Also, I fail at choosing ratings... do you think T was correct? Should it go up? Or could it go down?
