He ran a hand through his hair while entering the precinct. Castle was nervous. The whole way walking here, he thought about it. If or if not. But his mother told him once that the heart wants what the heart wants and his heart wanted her. Only her.

"Why so nervous Castle?" Kate asked amused as he sat down.

"I'm not nervous"

She gave him a look.

"Just deep in thought", he replied.

"About?"

Castle swallowed.

"Christmas", he replied.

"Got any plans?"

"No, since Alexis is away with friends and my mother is at some party", he huffed.

"Oh poor writer boy"

"Got any plans yourself, Detective?"

"Maybe", she replied with smile.

"Might wanna tell me about them?"

Beckett smiled even wider and shook her head.

"It is getting late Castle"

"Right" He mumbled and got up from his seat.

"I guess I see you on Thursday?" He asked as they walked towards the elevator.

"Thursday?" Kate asked as the doors opened.

"Aren't you going to take some time off?"

Kate laughed.

"Oh right, I actually do"

"Merry Christmas" Castle said as she left the elevator.

Kate turned around and smiled at him before walking to her car.

He didn't do it. As soon as Castle realized it he threw his shoe across the room. He picked up his phone and stared at it. Once again he didn't tell her. An hour later he was lying on the couch, not actually playing attention to what was playing on the TV. He only wanted her around. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and within seconds he opened it, hoping it was her.

"Kate" He said, now a grin spreading across his face.

"Hey" She replied.

"I thought you had plans?"

Kate smiled shyly and held up two bags of Chinese food.

"You are my plans, Castle"

His smiled widened.

"You want to ask me if I want to come in?"

"Oh right" Castle said and stepped aside, taking the bags from her.

Their hands brush and Kate immediately felt herself blush. Through their meal, their hands kept accidentally brushing against each other and none of them seemed to mind. Kate even ended up on his lap, playing with their fingers as one of his hands ran through her hair.

"Rick" Kate whispered.

"Hum?"

"Remember about the wall I told you after you signed my book?"

"What about that?" Castle asked and sat up.

Kate smiled.

"I think you tore it down" She announced proudly.

Castle felt happiness spreading through his chest and a huge grin forming on his face.

"How did you do that?" Castle asked and looked down on her.

Kate ran a hand across his chest.

"You love me"

Castle felt himself blush.

Kate bit her lip and looked up.

"Merry Christmas, Castle"

His eyes darted to the giant clock over the kitchen counter. It officially was December 24.

"Merry Christmas, Kate" He mumbled and leaned down.

She placed her hands softly on his face.

"I love you too" She whispered before their lips met.
