So if you have read my fanfic 'The Tale of Two Girls' then you must have known that my friend, starlingg12 posted a fanfic giving you a glimpse of Shadow's past and I decided that I was gonna give you a oneshot of Vana's past! Also I'm very sorry for not updating in a while, but I'm working on it right now. Anyway enjoy! (You would understand why this is under Teen Titans if you read the other story)

Nirvana Craig was a quaint girl living in Kentucky with her mother, Mary Sue Craig and her father, Wesley Craig. They were quite poor and lived in a trailer, but they were happy. That is until something happened to Nirvana. When she was just 4 years old she gained some special abilities, superpowers you might say.
She and her father were working on their truck together, they were replacing the engine. Wesley pulled out the engine himself, but it was too heavy and it slid out of his hands. Nirvana was sitting on the ground right under the falling engine. If it had been anyone else they surely would have been crushed, but something short of a miracle happened.
She caught it. Nirvana caught the falling engine with one hand. Wesley was baffled and rushed to get his wife. When they came back outside Nirvana was not only holding the engine but she had picked up the truck too!
Mary Sue and Wesley were so happy because they realized that they could have people pay to see Nirvana perform, they would be rich instantly! They were right, and a few months later they found out Nirvana had another power, she could see into the future! They began charging twice as much for people to see their daughter lift heavy objects and tell their fortunes.
As the years went on they became more and more obsessed with the money. They began neglecting Nirvana. They forgot to feed her and if she complained about something they simply put her down in the dried up well in their yard for days on end.
When Nirvana was 12 years old she finally snapped. She grabbed her things from their trailer and ran away. She hid her powers for awhile, until she met another super powered girl named Rissa in Steel City. She taught Nirvana to use her powers for good deeds and they became a team.
Nirvana is now 14 years old. She and Rissa now go by the names Shadow and Vana. They travel around helping those in need, but sometimes, even in the best moments, the memories of her past life come back in the dark corners of her mind and remind her of why she ran...
