Her laugh broke the silence.
He turned to watch as the woman painted up like a china doll, white powder and poofy wig, laughed at a supposedly funny joke that the man had just told.
The stupid Capitol man had on a blue vest, a shader lighter than his dress shirt. His blonde moustache was styled, with pointed waxy ends. His eyebrows were so blonde they were hardly visible.
Haymitch didn't see what the big deal was. He wasn't an overly good-looking man. And if Haymitch was being honest, the man looked rather girlish.
He didn't know why he felt so angry, he just... no one needed to look at his... he meant... Effie that way.
No one. No one except him.
Then again, Haymitch Abernathy never did handle jealousy well.
