It has been a stressful and sad morning for Lorali, she has dropped off Rory at the Connecticut airport and is now home not sure what to do with herself. Paul Anka is in his usual melancholy mood and not much in the way of company. After flipping through the channel's aimlessly she decided to order pizza for dinner and is now anxiously waiting for dinner:
""Ouch, dam tator tots" Lorali says has she burns her hand on the cookie sheet. "Coming"! "Finally Joe is here with the pizza, I am starving, how about you Paul Anka?" Lorali opens the door and stops in her tracks. "Hey Luke, What are you doing here?" Lorali says in a surprised voice. Luke stands there in a quiet calm, "I know it's been a rough day I came to check in on you." Thank you, Paul Anka and I thought you were the pizza, come in." We were going to watch a movie to drown out our sadness about Rory leaving today."
Luke stands awkwardly in the door way and moves slowly to the couch. They sit on the couch and stare at each other both thinking the same thing but neither one of them wants to bring it up first. The unexpected kiss in the town square at Rory's surprise going away party given to her by the town and was instigated by Luke. "You're welcome to join us? Do you want a beer?" Lorali says trying to fill the awkward silence. "Sure I'll join you, why not." Luke says nervously. Lorali walks to the kitchen to grab two beers. She has butterflies in her stomach. She is nervous and wants to talk to him about the kiss, but is not sure how to bring up the subject. After all the ups and downs that she has been through with Christopher and Luke, she finally realized he was the one after the last break up with Christopher. She realized he was the one and has always been the one. He wants to talk about the kiss, but Luke is not one who is open with his feeling and is not sure how to tell her He loves her and has never stopped loving her.
