Another special crossover! This about Vert and Max's brotherly relationship and about their "deceased" fathers. Hope you enjoy this! :)
Vert and Max were in front of the garage playing. The two young boys' relationship became brotherly after they have first met. "Boys snack time is ready," Molly called out. Vert and Max went inside the garage to eat snacks. Molly made cheese sandwiches, "Oh, cheese sandwiches!" Max said with a joy tone, "Your favorite?" Vert asked, "Yes. Max always love cheese sandwiches," Molly said, "Now dig in. So you'll have enough energy to play again."
As Vert and Max starts to eat their snacks, Vert likes the taste of the cheese sandwich, "Wow, so good." He said with joy, "I'm glad you like it, Vert," Max said happily. In few minutes later after they finished their snacks. They went out to play. And before they start playing Max ask something to Vert. "Hey, Vert? Can I ask you something?"
"Sure. What is it?" Vert said, "Are you all alone here in this garage?" Max asked, "… Yes. But Sheriff Johnson took care of me and he watch over me," Vert said, "Why do you ask that, Max?"
"Well… I was wondering if you have parents," Max said, "No. I don't have… parents," his childhood friend replied with a sad tone, "What? What happen?" Max asked, "My mom died after birth. And my dad went missing 8 years ago and did not come back again. And I thought to myself that he's dead too like my mom," he said, "I'm sorry," Max apologized, "It's okay. I know I felt lonely with no parents," Vert said, "What about you? I only see your mom. But where's your dad?"
"He died," Max whispered in a sad tone, "Huh? Your father died? What happen," Vert asked, "I dunno. I ask my mom about him and I want to know him. But she refused to tell me. But she did say that my dad shared with his dark brown hair and blue eyes with me," he said, "That's nice." Vert said with smile making Max to blush. "What about you? Did you shared with your mom or your dad something?"
"Um… well, I don't know. But Mr. Johnson did say that my mom shared with her blonde hair and blue eyes with me." Vert said, "I see. By the way… what's your mom's and dad's names are?" Max asked, "I think their names are Jenna and Jack Wheeler." Vert said "And what's your dad's name?"
"James McGrath. But he has a nickname called 'Jim'." Max said, "A nice name for him," he said to his childhood friend. "I kinda missed mom when she died and dad who went missing for long years. I don't remember their faces," Vert said, "I don't even remember my dad's face too. Guess we both have the same loss of our fathers," Max said, "Yeah… but I know my dad is still alive out there somewhere. Once I grow up I'll be able to find him," Vert said, "And I want to know more about my dad once I grow up too." Max said.
"I wonder…" Vert muttered, "Wonder what, Vert," Max asked, "I wonder… if they met each other before we're born," he said, "Maybe. Anyway… let's play," Max said and Vert nodded. The two young boys then starts to play out with fun.
Inside the garage, Molly overheard their talk about Vert's parents and Max's father. Molly felt bad about Vert's mother's death after birth and his father went missing for long years and didn't return. She also felt a bit scared if she tell her son about his father's death. "I'm sorry, Vert for your mother's death and your father's disappearance. And Max… I'm so sorry but you're not ready about your father yet." Molly said to herself.
