It was the middle of the night when she woke up. The little green gem heard wings flapping from outside the house. She woke up the fastest she ever did, her head fuzzy from getting up so fast and started running towards the door, without beeing able to not fall down, everybody was out or sleeping, so it felt like she was just alone in the world. But, that noise, made her think that, maybe.. Maybe not. She oppened the door and heard it again, that flapping noise. She knew it had to be her, that she must have came back. Her heart was beating like crazy, she ran towards the noises, and followed it, but it kept getting farther away, she continued searching, crying out the name of the blue gem in the night, with no respnses, the whole city was sleeping. She followed the shadows that sometimes appeared, and she could swear that she saw some shade of blue, she could just see the blue gem's skirt floating right in front of her, then she fell down face in the grass, she got back up and looked around and saw that she just arrived near the lighthouse, and heard a noise from behind it, just between the cliff and the lighthouse, was a comfrtably large enough place for anyone to just, be here and hang out away from everything. She was facing the sea alone, searching for the blue gem. She cried her name once more. But there was nothing but silence, she couldn't take it anymore, she was really starting to feel the loneliness surrounding her. Tears started to run down her face, she started to loose it, she started to cry out evertyhing she had on her heart, how she had felt abondoned, how it broke her that no matter how hard she tried to make her feel like she could stay, it still wasn't enough, she still wasn't enough. How she hated her for doing that, how she couldn't take it. And how despite all of that, she still wanted her back, she still missed her, and she couldn't bring herself to let go. She realized how stupid she was beeing. She sat down, and started to talk to the blue gem, like she was in front of her, eyese looking at the horzion, where the immensity of the ocean mixed with the infinity of space. She started to talk to her like she knew she should have down a long time ago, her fears, her anger, her feelings everything, and most importantly, how much she need her, and how even though she was into space, a part of her still believed that she was here. When she said that, out of nowhere, a howl flew right in front of her. The green gems could'nt believe her eyes, she fell down on her knees and couldn't move or thing for a time that seemed to her like an eternity. Then, she looked at the sky, only the sky. Home to her, not because of homeworld, she gave up on that long ago, but because she was up there. And she sat there, on the cliff, for the whole night, looking at the sky until the sunrise. She just sat, looking, thinking about everything and nothing, mostly about her. She got home before anyone, falling back asleep. When she woke up, the only thing she could think about was if that night was a dream or not. And if in a way, a part of her wasn't still on that cliff looking at the horizon.
