The scene where Stiles is talking about his string colors and Lydia wraps a piece of red string around her finger I know made Stydia sippers go crazy but then I saw someone (can't remember who) say that Stiles takes it off her finger signifying that they're not fated.

(Stiles)

"You`ve been right everytime something like that has happened. Okay, so don't start doubting yourself now". Stiles kneels on the floor in front reassuring Lydia, a determined look in his eyes, knowing that she needs to start believing in herself and if that means encouraging her to believe in her own power and him so be it.

No scent. No bomb. I got you in trouble.

"Barrow was there, alright? You knew it. You felt it". Stiles says sternly unwinding the string gently and slowly releasing his romantic intentions for her loosen with the thread, knowing deep down that his fantasy of them is one side and he`s fine with that and a sense. Confidence in his words, knowing of the whole pack she was the strongest of them all Banshee or not.

"And look, if you wanted to, I'd go back to that school right now and I'd search, all night just to prove it". Stiles says hoping, praying the words give more strength to them both.

Knowing to keep a collective demeanour and not linger any longer, a little smile appeared on both their faces and a flash of sadness between those hazel brown eyes and in the moment they both knew no others words need to spoken out loud. They both see each other, accept each other, call each other out on their bullshit and view each other as equals. Stiles was the first to see Lydia for who she is, a smart girl and praise her for it. Lydia is one of the few who really listen to Stiles and realizes he has more to offer than just sarcastic quips and flailing limbs.
