Hey people! its me...this is my very first ever fanfiction. today, i stared at a candle for 15 minutes...five unlit and ten while it was lit. then, i used my creativity and came up with this story. yes it's very short i know. i don't personally like stories this short either, but i needed to start somewhere. all i want is to see if any of you like it. please read and review, it would be very appreciated if you would comment. and don't hold back please, i'm looking for critique. oneshot...enjoy!

She stared at the candle as it reflected on her life. The long, thin stick of midnight. Midnight. Black. As black as her nails, her lips, her eyes, her soul. To touch the flame was to feel the burn. The burn of how much it hurt to see him with her. The dancing piece of firelight resembling how he held the other girl close; a never ending dance of passion. She closed her eyes securely, to block out the mesmerizing light. It was no use. Her eyelids scorched, like that of the blood she only wished she could shed of the wretched girl. The candle had been burning too long. It's hot wax pooling underneath the flame, threatening to overflow, if shaken too much. Black, uneven streams ran down, like ink upon her pale face. She opened her eyes. A starburst of light blinded her for an instant, just as his beauty had stunned her to silence. The crackle of the candle was driving her to the edge. She blew it out with a pain-filled sob. Her heart was an unlit candle. Without him, life itself was pointless. She wrote her goodbye in an elegant script, saying how much she had always loved him. She walked to the door of the family's cellar, risking being seen by her mother. She stared down at the darkening stairs, leading her to her death. She took a deep breath and lifted the candle and held it in both hands. As she snapped the mighty stick in half, she fell down. Tumbling and numb, she kept falling until her limp body reached the bottom of the merciful steps. The candle lay in her hand, broken and lifeless. Just like the girl.
