Who Do You Love?

"Snap out of it, Wufei!"

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"I know you were never in love with me. No matter what the elders say, know matter what you might think, you were never really in love with Meiran, or with me."

"That's not true!"

"You loved me, and you loved Meiran, but you were never in love with either of us. I have known you since we were six, my dear husband, and you can't hide anything from me. I know everything about you, Wufei."

"What..."

"I have watched you from afar for so many years, Wufei."

"How could you...?"

"You were never one to open your heart to anyone, yet you confided your darkest, deepest fears and your most amazing fantasies to a blond Arabian. You told him things that I would have never imagined you to have said. You never tolerated any babbling or nonsense from anyone, yet you listened for fifteen hours to a braided American while locked up in an OZ brig, venting about love to food to life in general. You never relaxed with anyone, either peers or elders, and you never put up with anyone that didn't have at least half your skill in swords, yet you let down your guard with a half-masked clown with an affinity for knives. You have so much pride and honor in life, and put such high standards on yourself, that no one, not even I, could ever achieve your high level of greatness, yet you admired a certain 'perfect soldier' from afar. You put him on a pedestal. I was wed to you to produce an heir to the Chang dynasty, yet you knew that I could never bear children. The elders should have known. I thought they did, when they chose Meiran to be your wife. But after she passed on, and they chose me, I knew that they never listened. You knew that I couldn't produce an heir as much as I knew that you would never father a child. We both know it is a wasted effort."

"But, I...I love you..."

"Yes, you love me, as a friend, and a childhood confidante, as a partner for sword practice, someone to train with. I am as strong as you, and I know many things about you, but I do not have what it takes to make you truly happy. You have only so much love to give, and so many people to give it to, how can I ever compete with that? There are four people in your heart, already; how can I ever squeeze myself in there, even if I wanted to?"

"You don't want..."

" Know that you need them, and they need you. Don't give up on them, because they haven't given up on you."

"But, when I was dreaming, I knew that Trowa was going to knock on my door...he was upset with me."

"Not anymore. There will be an heir to the Chang dynasty, but neither of us will be raising him. The ones you should care about are standing right outside your door. Good bye, Wufei."

Wufei ran to open the door. He saw the four pilots standing outside. He turned back to her, "Beloved!" But she was gone.

He knelt down to his shrine to his past and present wives and began to cry.

"Wufei..."

"How much did you hear?"

"Since, 'snap out of it, Wufei'," Duo said.

"So you heard everything."

"Is it true, Wufei?" asked Quatre hesitantly.

"Yes, it is. And what do you want to do about it?"

"This." Duo walked over to Wufei and kissed him hard on the lips.

"But what about Heero?"

"Yes, I do feel left out." And with that, he walked to where Duo and Wufei were and grabbed Wufei by his pony tail and pulled him into a crushing kiss.

Quatre and Trowa decide they were being left out too, and walked over to Wufei, each grabbing him by an arm, and dragged him to his bed.

"You know Wufei, if I didn't know better, I think you were enjoying this attention," said Quatre.

Wufei shook his head, sighed and finally nodded. "Ok, I enjoy this attention. A lot. Now why don't I show you how much I really care about you."

And with that, he grabbed the other four ex-Gundam pilots and dragged them onto the bed with him.
