Medic paced back and forth in the hospital hallway. He was nervous for soon he was to be a father. Yes soon the joys of parenthood would be his. But that wasn't what he was nervous about. It was the fact that he was the one to be giving birth. Well, his clone to be technical.

It all began when Medic was dabbling in cloning and ended with rough, hot, kinky sex on the medical room floor. It was there the truth was revealed to him. There was no one else he wanted to live life with but with himself. He was too terrified to reveal this to his copy though, how would he take it? I mean would he accept loving himself as much as the other man loved him? Luckily he did, one night after a battle as he patched up his creator's wounds, revealing that he not only need his creator's love and soul, and needed him there in his life, but also the most shocking news- he was pregnant with Medic's child.

And now Medic wondered had it been worth it? Had hearing his own screams in the other room from the pains of childbearth been worth whatever future he had made with himself? Not soon enough a nurse entered the hall. Medic looked at her anxiously for any sign of news. Despite her expression that of disturbance from delivering the child of a man that was the clone of the man standing before her she seemed well. She informed Medic that it was a success and that he was free to enter.

With a breath he walked into the room. There he lay in all his post-birthing glory, cradling a bundle of blankets in his arms. As his creator entered he smiled softly at him, beckoning his love to his side. Medic-copy gave him a peck on his cheek before handing the bundle of fabrics to him. Medic held the pile of warmth in his arms, a breath caght in his throat from the anticipation to see his childs face. A shaky hand reached for the fabric covering the childs face. He drew it away and let out a gasp of surprise. The child was himself, a tiny medic, eyes closed in sleep behind little glasses. He looked to Medic-copy, tears of joy usually held back coming shed. This was his life now. A beautiful husband and child, and he would live it well.
