One does not become a dragonslayer overnight.
It takes skill. A warrior's skill is tempered by wisdom and experience, but slaying an Elder Dragon will take skill the likes of which Tyria has never before seen.
It takes allies, but the world is divided. Tyria must first conquer its own inner demons before it conquers its destroyers.
Follow the journey of Rowan and Hafwen from lowly grunts in the Steel warband to warriors celebrated throughout the world. Walk with them through adventure and tragedy as they forge the disparate people of Tyria into dragonslayers!
Author's Note:
It's been a VERY long time since I've even thought about publishing another fanfic. Nonetheless, publishing one for the main Guild Wars 2 storyline has always been something of a goal of mine. ArenaNet definitely did way better than a lot of other MMO companies do in storytelling, but something as epic as that needs to be fleshed out more. So, that's what I and JadedPanda are doing.
Story is a solid T. There will be mature jokes, semi-mature language, and lots of innuendo, but we won't be getting into anything explicit (at least, we won't be publishing it ;D).
We will be aiming for bi-weekly updates starting one week from the upload of this document. We already have a backlog of 3-4 chapters, so there's definitely content for you to enjoy, but our chapters are very large and they take a long time to produce, so patience is very much appreciated. If you're looking for more Guild Wars 2 fanfic fun (and for something that is canon to this story), then check out my fiction Glow. It's a look into Vallus Smokemane, one of the possible subjects of the Sire storyline for charr characters.
EDIT: Due to some issues on our end we're pushing the publishing of the first chapter (the prologue) back a week.
