"Runaways"

Rapunzel Corona had no idea what she was doing.

She just had to escape her abusive adopted mother, Gothel, so in the dark of night while she was deeply asleep, she grabbed a frying pan off the stove, still hot from supper (it was the only thing she could find as a weapon, because Gothel kept the knives
/locked away in case of nights like this.) and snuck out the front door of the apartment and into the streets of Manhattan.

She was sure her "mother"would wake up once she heard the creaky door open, and rush in and beat the crap out of her, but nothing happened.

With a sigh of relief, she closed the front door behind her.

And she was all alone.

"Oh come on Hans... What are the odds of running into the girl Chiron told us to look for at this time of night? It's past midnight!" Eugene whined.

"True, true, but we still have to find a place to stay don't we?" Said the older boy irritably, they were both exhausted,

Then they heard a bloodcurdling scream from an alleyway nearby.

"What the hell?!" Hans said as they moved closer to the alley, then the two boys saw a young girl barelyyounger than Eugene, battling a manticore-

With only a frying pan as a weapon.

"Oh shit! SHIT!" Eugene cried, racing for the manticore. This had to be her, a normal person wouldn't even see the manticore, and the manticore wouldn't pay them a second thought.

"DUCK!" Said Eugene as the manticore prepared to strike the girl with its scorpion-like stringer.

"OOH I LOVE DUCKS! WHERE!" She cried out, and when she moved the manticore barely grazed her ear, but it was enough to get venom going through her system, to where she felt like she was on fire.

She collapsed and writhed in agony, tightly pulling on her own 70-feet long mass of golden hair.

Eugene had just finished off the manticore when he realized the girl was curled up on the ground, muttering something under her breath.

"I'm sorry what?" He said to her then gasped in shock as her hair began to glow.

"Flower, gleam and glow.

Let your power shine...

Make the clock reverse...

Bring back what once was mine...

Heal what has been hurt...

Change the fates' design...

Save what has been lost...

Bring back what once was mine...

What once was mine."

Eugene and Hans stared dumbfounded as she pushed herself up off the ground, completely healed.

"H-how did you-?! It doesn't matter... Nevermind... There's not much time. We need you to come with us." Hans said in shock.

The girl shrank back.

"I don't even know you! How do I know if you're not one of those things that attacked me in disguise like the last one?!" The girl said

"Well we did just save your life..." Hans mumbled but Eugene shushed him,

"Let me handle this."

Hans rolled his eyes, knowing exactly what Eugene was going to do.

He sauntered up to the young girl, tilted his head to the side a little, winked at her, and said,

"Hi... The name's Flynn Rider... Son of Hermes, the God of messengers, and medicine, this is Hans, also a son of Hermes how'syour day going, huh?"

The girl scoffed, and Eugene sighed, clearly his usual charm technique wasn't going to work on this girl.

"Okay listen blondie-"

"Rapunzel." The girl snapped,

"Geshundtute. Anyway... How'd you do that... With your hair I mean?"

"I've been able to do that for as long as I can remember, and what do you mean sons of Hermes? "

Eugene shook his head."blondie you've been in the dark way too long. Come with us... We'll explain on the way there."
