While some might describe him as "dangerous", "an animal that should be locked up", or "a complete and total freak", a more accurate description of Remus John Lupin would be "serious", "could stand to lighten up a bit once in a while", "brave hero", and "loving husband and father". Lupin was the professor of Defense Against The Dark Arts at Hogwarts for Harry Potter's third year, despite the fact that he had a "furry little problem". And no, this does not mean he had a very badly behaved rabbit. Mister Potter has also said that Lupin was the one who taught him to cast a Patronus Charm. During his own years at Hogwarts, Lupin was known by his friends as "Moony", and was discovered to be one of the 4 Marauders of the Marauder's Map, currently in the possession of Mister Harry Potter. Lupin was also a member of the Order of the Phoenix, where he met his future wife , Metamorphmagus Nymphadora Tonks. Shortly before he died, Lupin became the proud father of one Teddy Remus lupin. When asked for comment on Lupin, Miss Hermione Granger stepped up and said "it's a shame that people only saw him as what he had the potential to be, a dangerous werewolf.
