Chapter 1: first day of school.

Dad is driving me to my school. I knew this is my last chance o plead for... mercy? Sorry, i just don't know how to put my feelings into words.

"Dad, please, I don't want to go to that horrible school." I pleaded.

"No, Miles," my father said, " you must, i am running out of place to put you."

"DAD! can't you put me into other places such as..."

Before i could suggest anything, dad cut of my sentence and said " No ifs, ands or buts. Miles, you must go to that blasted school."

"...okay..."

Silence.

"Stupid physics class..." I muttered as i walked into a classroom.

The classroom is filled with lots of people. A few peeked at me and went back to their conversation.

The teacher looked at me and said: " Good afternoon, Miles, have a seat." And i decided to seat at the last row.

"Okay, class!" the teacher announced "This three weeks we're going to study about Optics, the study of light."

And he went on, starting to describe everything about light, vision, etc.

"Hey" a voice next to me called.

I turned and I saw a guy, with a surfer-boy sun-kissed hair and sky blue eyes. He is taller than me, and well built too! And I realized that I am staring him for too long.

"Oh… hi."

"You new here?"

" Ya. "

Then I went back to my books. I realized that the boy is trying to pay attention (and he had a hard time doing so). He seems to be having a hard time on reading too.

Something popped into my mind.

I asked "You have dyslexia?"

He looked surprised and asked "how do you know?"

"I don't know, it just suddenly popped into my mind."

He sighed and said: "Yeah, I have dyslexia and ADHD too. That's why even I'm nineteen; I am still in grade three."

He sighed unhappily (again). I felt a sudden urge to help him.

Before I knew it, I already said "well… I might able to help you…"

He smile and looked at me. "You sure?"

He leaves me no choice but to say: "yeah."

Silence…

He said "hey, I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Will, Will Solace."

"My name is Miles."

Whatever class I took, Will seem to be there (except for biology). Well… seeing him (to me) is weird. Like, my body will heat up and things like that.

I hope I'm not in trouble.
