"Come on Hotaru, mom's probably cooked enough food for the whole neighborhood by now!" Said the tall 16 year old boy, with chocolate brown wild hair.
He gently nudged pulled her hand, while his other arm held two of her bags which contained her few belongings.
"Tai, you'd eat all that food by yourself", chuckled the man that looked like Tai grown up, with neater hair.
"Hotaru, don't listen to your brother. You take your time and rest if you need to. Remember the doctor told you not to exhaust yourself. Tai would run around Japan in a day if food was waved In front him."
"Gosh dad, let me at least have one sister who doesn't think I'm an idiot. You got Kari thinking I'm a real space ball! Hotaru, I'd only run around Japan if popcorn shrimp was dangled in front of me. "
Together the father and son laughed in unison. Their laughter echoed the lobby of the building. Hotaru smiled.

"Hey Hotaru, are you hungry? You want to eat first or do you want to see your room first?" asked her dad as they got off the elevator and walked towards the apartment door. Her dad his arm around her shoulder the whole time.
Before hotaru could open her mouth, her brother answered for her.
" Hotaru is hungry dad. She had a long ride from the institute to home. I think she wants to eat. Don't you Hotaru? Plus, Kari will take hours to show all the stuff she bought for you, and then all the pictures and blah blah blah. All that nonsense girl stuff."
Just as Tai finished saying that, a young teenage girl with sandy brown hair opened the door near by
"I thought I heard tai talking away! "as she skipped towards Hotaru
"Is he annoying you already big sister?" she said in her soprano voice as she wrapped her arms around Hotaru
"No I'm not! " stated Tai as he playfully slapped Kari on the head as they entered the apartment . "Don't turn hotaru against me too. I need someone on my side in this house."
"Tai, I can hear you all the way from the elevator. I'm surprised the neighbors haven't complained yet!" Said a slim, sandy hair woman as peer out of the Kitchen.
"Hotaru, sweetie! Welcome home! It's so good to finally have you here with us!" said the woman as she embraced Hotaru in a tight warm hug
" Your too thin hotaru!" said her mother as she stepped back to get a better look at her eldest daughter. "Now that your home, I'm going to have to get some meat on those bones"
Hotaru sat in the dining room table, with her family around her. Her sister piled food on to her food, teasing her brother not to eat it all. Her mother tried to feed her, as her father teased her mother saying that Hotaru wasn't a baby. Her family laughed, and joked, all of them smiling at her.
'So this is what it feels like to be with family, to be home. It feels warm and nice" thought hotaru
"Your family are the ones that kept you from being home you dork " answered the voice
