"An Angel, a Hunter and a Baby."

Chapter 1: "…That's Sam…?"

That morning was…unusual. Neither Dean nor Castiel could find Sam anywhere, not even anywhere else near the motel they were staying in during a hunting trip.

"Cas, did you find him anywhere?" Dean asked.

Castiel shook his head in disapproval. "No, I couldn't find him. I tried looking in the woods, but all I found was this." He replied and held up a dirty button-down shirt, and Dean instantly recognized it. It was Sam's shirt.

"Cas, that's Sam's shirt! Where'd you find it?! Was there anything else with it?!" Dean shouted as he took his brother's shirt into his hand.

"Well…there were a few other clothing types…come on, I'll show you where I found them." Castiel nodded and grabbed Dean's arm, leading him into the woods behind the motel.

It wasn't even 5 minutes as they walked through the woods until they heard a loud wail coming from behind a few trees. It sounded like a baby…

"Cas, please tell me you hear that…" Dean said quickly.

"Yes, I can hear it too…sounds like it's coming from where I found the shirt!" Castiel exclaimed and ran up to another pile of clothes. He knelt down and lifted up a few clothing items and his eyes widened at what he saw. "Um…Dean? You might want to see this…" He said worriedly.

Below Castiel was a baby, about 7 months old, crying loudly, kicking its feet, squirming around, and balling up its tiny fists. Dean knelt down next to Cas and his jaw dropped. He gently picked up the screaming child and held him in front of his face to get a better look at him. "…That's Sam…" Dean said quietly. The sound of Dean's voice caused Sam's cries to soften down to little whines and whimpers.

Castiel watched in amazement. "Dean, how did you…how did you calm him down?" He asked.

Dean shrugged and cradled Sam, who just calmed down and slowly fell asleep, in his arms. Sammy breathed softly and cuddled into Dean's chest, holding a soft grip on his big brother's shirt.

Dean couldn't help but crack a little smile at his baby brother. It reminded him of when they were younger after Mary died. The older Winchester slowly stood up, as well as Castiel. Dean glanced over at the angel, who was already looking down at the sleeping Sam. Castiel also smiled a little. "He looks peaceful…" He whispered.

Dean let out a soft chuckle. "Wait until he wakes up and gets hungry, then you'll know he's not all so peaceful. Trust me; I had to deal with this for a long time when I was little." He replied softly. Dean glanced back down at the sleeping child in his arms and sighed softly. "What am I gonna do with ya, Sammy?" He asked himself and smiled.

Sammy's little nose suddenly crinkled a bit and he started to whine, eventually developing into a loud wail. Dean winced at his brother's loudness, as well as Castiel. Cas put his hands over his ears and also winced at the child's loudness.

"See? What'd I tell ya? He isn't so peaceful now, is he?"
