Black drops of rain is falling down from the sky.

Kaneki looks up and questions his existence; who was he? What was he? What is he really living for?

Sorrowful tears streamed down his cheeks. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth.

He was angry at himself. He was ashamed of the monster he had been.

He looked at the people around him. They are smiling and laughing; enjoying the time of their lives. Why can't he be like them? He thought to himself.

Instead, he had to be a creature that solely feeds on human flesh and none other than that. He gave a low chuckle and almost staggered down the sidewalk.

"Why? I don't deserve this.. No. I don't want this.."

He repeatedly thought the words over and over his twisted mind.

He had become a monster. All because of that one woman. If it wasn't for her, Kaneki would've lived just like any other average human being.

He blamed it all on her.

Kaneki was half-ghoul.

He loathed this part of him.

Kaneki screamed and pulled on his white hair.

One thing he was certain of for the rest of his life was; he was never going to accept the fact that a part of him is half-ghoul.
