One dreary morning, a teenager woke up. She saw that it was raining outside and felt as if it was raining inside as well. She laid back down to think for a moment.
My life
So dreary
I wish I could be somebody else
She sat back up. As she looked around her room, her eyes settled on the mirror. She frowned as she looked at her face.
Look in the mirror
Change my looks
Wish for another life
For some reason, thoughts about school flowed in her mind. She usually got along with everyone, but not some people. Some just couldn't stand her. She wasn't sure why either.
Hate the way everyone looks at me
Judging me constantly
Treating me like a child
Some people never gave her the time of day. They would walk off before they looked at her. They usually thought little of her and inferior.
People think that I'm just a stupid little girl
Like I don't know what I'm doing
The truth is, I know exactly what I'm doing
She was used to being tricked by people, thinking that they liked her when it was a lie. She had friends, true enough, but they didn't really pay attention to her.
All I know is that my friends help me get by
My past was built on lies
Even know I still don't know the truth
All she wanted was to be accepted by everyone. If not, she still had her friends that, whether or not payed attention to her, did care about her. Just when she was about to go back to sleep, her friends were in the yard with umbrellas yelling for her to come outside and play. She smiled and grabbed her clothes and umbrella as she hurried to be with them.
Ice: Well, Review it if you like it and you know it.
