"April I don't know why you don't just tell him" said my best friend Stephanie.
We were at her dad's house one day for a party, and both of our families were there. Including her brother Shane. She had nnoticed me staring a few times and decided once more to pester me into telling him how I felt.
"You've been in love with him since we were kids, and it's been two years since you broke up. You need to tell him that you still love him."
"I know I know. "
"If you know then go and tell him."
I hated when she was right. See me and Shane had dated about 4 years ago for a year and a half. But his career prevented us from seeing each other, and it just became too much for either of us to handle. So we both decided to end things. Only thing is, I never stopped loving him.
**Shane's POV**
I wasn't really looking forward to coming to this party until Stephanie told me that April would be there. I walked into the room and immediately started searching for her. My eyes scanned the room and stopped suddenly. There she was. God was she beautiful. I remember when we were kids. We McMahan's tended to have a temper, and it took a hell of a lot to calm any of us down. But for some reason, whenever I would get really pissed about something, no matter what it was, April could always calm me down. She would notice that something was wrong, no matter how hard I tried to hide it. I didn't want her to see me like that. Finally a few years ago I had gotten the courage to ask her out, and if if it weren't for me being so involved in the WWE, we probably would still be together. But I was always gone and hardly had any time for April anymore. I knew it was hurting her, probably as much as it hurt me. So we decied to end it. That was two years ago. She had probaly moved on by now.
"Yo, Shane" came the voice of Paul, my sister Stephanie's husband.
"Hey Paul. how've you been man?"
"Good, still adjusting to being a father."
Suddenly there was a tap on my shoulder, and I turned around to see a very familiar face.
**Normal POV**
I had to do it now.
"Ok, lets go. I'm gonna tell him."
"Finally."
Since Shane was talking to Paul, Stephanie's husband, she walked over there with me. I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around with a smile. God how I missed that smile.
"Hey Shane"
"Hey April, you look great."
"Thanks you too. Can we talk? In private?"
"Yeah sure. I'll talk to later Paul."
And at that we walked outside where it was a little less crowded. He was the first to speak.
"So how've you been?"
"I've been ok. How about you?"
"Same. Been busy."
"As usual. Look Shane, there's something I gotta tell you."
"What is it April?"
"I miss you. I have for the past two years. I know you have probably moved on but I just, I needed to,"
I was cut off by a kiss.
"I've missed you too. I never stopped loving you April. I've loved you since we were kids and I always will."
Suddenly I felt happier than I had in over two years.
"Shane I know your job keeps you busy, but I don't care. I can't stand being without you for another minute. I'd rather wait for you while you are the road knowing that you are coming home to me than not have you at all."
"I got one btter for you. How about you don't have to wait for me?"
"What do you mean?"
"Come on the road with me. Me and Stephanie could use that creative mind of yours. And that way we wouldn't have to be away from each other."
I smiled up at him and then he kissed me again.
"I love you Shane."
"I love you too April."
Over the next few months I traveled with Shane wherever the WWE took him. I didn't care where we went, as long as we're together.
