This is my very first poem from Edward's POV. It's just a general poem of how he feels about Bella. I hope you'll like it.
Solitude wasn't my destiny liked I'd thought,
I just hadn't yet found what I'd always sought.
You're my soulmate. I know that now,
and that's why I made this vow:
I'll love you forever and never let you get hurt,
that's why I'm putting forth all my effort.
I never thought love was like this,
especially not like our first kiss.
Pulsing red inside your veins treathened to burst,
you're constantly challenging my neverending thirst.
I feared I'd take you right there and then,
knowing I could never be like any real men.
I'm a monster and I know you don't care,
it's just that it's me that you always scare.
You're so willing and too good for me,
I wish I could somehow make you see.
I'll always love you, of course I will,
I'm just afraid that it'll be you I kill.
Your scent is so delicious,
and still you're so utterly fearless.
Your mind is kept secret,
from my thoughts in velvet,
But I know you'd rather have it that way,
at least that's what you always say.
I want to know what you think about,
wishing that wouldn't be your hideout.
I hope it's me that's on your mind,
although I've been so very unkind..
Do you love me like you say you do?
Just so you know, you're the only one I value.
You might think I'm always lying,
but without you I'd definitely be dying.
You're the one I love,
the one I'm holding up there, high above.
