"So, I was thinking-"

Kick... plink...plink..plink.

"That we could-"

Kick...plink...plink..plink.plink.

Rodney sighed as Major Shepperd continued to ignore him in favour of the rock.

Kick...pink..plink.

"Do you HAVE to do that?" Rodney snapped.

KICK...PLINK...plink...

"Yes," Major Shepperd answered distractedly.

Rodney gave a garbled groan of frustration as the rock skipped gaily ahead of them. "It's... rock abuse. Besides, you're kicking an alien rock around on an alien planet. It could be alive for all you know."

Kick...plunk.

The rock fell into a small puddle of water.

"My rock's gone," Major Shepperd complained.

"I can see that." Rodney looked over at the Major, rolled his eyes, and kicked the rock out of the water. "I can't believe I did that."

Major Shepperd grinned.

Kick... plink..plink.plink.

Rodney kicked the rock out of sight. "There."

"What do you have against my rock/" Shepperd complained.

"Nothing. Stop kicking it and I'll ignore your rock."

"But what's the use of it if I don't kick it?"

"What's the use of kicking it in the first place?"

Major Shepperd ignored that comment. His eyes lit up as he found a new rock.

Kick...plink..plink.

Rodney sighed.
