Sasuke knocked at his brother's room.
"What do you want otouto?" Sasuke opened the door and stepped inside the room.
"I can't sleep."
"Why?"
"Dunno" whispered a very shy Sasuke.
"…"Itachi kept his mouth shut. Few seconds later Itachi decided to break the silence. " You can't sleep…"
Sasuke nodded, he was starting to get nervous.
"Come here otouto" sighed the elder "What are you afraid of?"
"I-I don't know…" said the younger, still shy. Sasuke walked to his brother and sat in his lap. The elder crossed his arms around the young's waist.
"Tell me, what happened earlier? What happened to you?"
"I went training… And you didn't go with me again!" pouted the little raven.
"And…?"
"I saw blood… A lot of blood"
"Where?"
"In the forest. Near the hill. Between the forest and the hill… I guess…"
"And… What did you do?"
"I approached the blood… And I saw… I saw… Bodies…"
"Bodies?"
"Yeah! And they must be dead!"
"And what did you do? Then?"
"I ran away…So fast. Screaming!"
"You shouldn't have screamed"
"S-sorry"
"Never mind"
"And now, I am afraid someone would kill me…"
"Don't worry otouto, if it happens, I'll protect you. And besides, if you wanna be a strong shinobi, you shouldn't fear anything!"
"But, when you'll be protecting me… What if you die? What would I do?" Sasuke hugged his brother, tears beginning to fall from his eyes.
"Come…" the elder Uchiha caught the little raven boy and put him in his own bed. "Calm down, I am here with you… I won't let you alone"
"Never?"
"Never."
"Do you promise?"
"Yes, I do"
Slowly, Sasuke closed his eyes and fell asleep in his brother's arms.
