Yes, well this is a sort of twirl off of myths of vampires. Mingling the classic rifts of horror, fantasy, romance and all that other good stuff.
Would like constructive criticism if possible sweet kitten eyes pretty please?
Reflections
Cserasi's hair ran in rivulets down her shoulders, as a few stray strands fell over her heated onyx gaze. Smiling softly she leaned against the cool stone of the wall over looking the dark terrace. The night's moon was full and large in the night sky, moonbeams bathed the tree tops in silver, staining the leaves.
Longingly she stretched her hand towards a stray beam that peered into the darkened hall, stopping only just short of its lovely light. She hadn't touched the light of the sun for over a century due to the detrimental effect it had on her. Even the moon when full and proud as it was, could cause great discomfort to her, a daughter of the night.
Feeling foolish she withdrew her hand, pulling it back to her side and wrapped her arms firmly around her waist, when suddenly her arms were joined by another set.
Long pale arms stretched easily around her waist, wrapping themselves firmly there, holding her close to the cold body just behind her.
With a long sigh she fell back against him, allowing him to cradle her, he being the only one to know her when she was vulnerable, weak, and exposed…for he made her feel that way whenever he came near, whenever he took her into his arms. He also made her feel her strongest and loveliest, never doubting her abilities, as she never doubted his. He was perfect as was she…perfect in all ways but one, and when in love that one did not seem as harsh to accept, for it meant eternity, whether in damnation or paradise with the person you loved.
His soft lips brushed lightly across her hair, his melodious voice was velvety and alluring, her senses overwhelmed by his presence as he murmured her name.
"Dreaming of the light again, beloved?" he asked her quietly.
Cserasi stared at the light, pressing her lips into a tight firm line, "Perhaps…I wanted to…" she sighed longingly.
A low growl issued and she found his arms had disappeared from her waist and grasped her shoulders, turning her gently, yet firmly around to face him.
His dark onyx eyes, the same as hers, searched her face, his lips drawn down in a frown over his smooth skin, his jet black hair curled and hanging just before his eyes.
"Why?" he asked her, pushing a strand of hair from her cheek, letting it rest there. "Why would you look at only a reflection of the light?"
She shook her head, the moon had always been her favorite, it may have no light of it's own but it had its own way of beauty.
"I simply wondered what it would be like to feel the light again…" she said quietly. Not meeting his piercing gaze, "I have forgotten how it felt." Then with a bitter twist added, "How could you have chosen me over such a joy?"
As soon as she said it she regretted it. His dark eyes burned into hers and for a moment she thought she had angered him, surprised when she saw the beginnings of a smile grace his mouth.
Two gentle hands tilted her head up as a pair of lips brushed hers, "You are the light my love… the light of my night and day that no sun could ever hope to replace. Do not envy that which you are already above. For after I saw you, no sun nor moon could ever compare."
Smiling she returned his loving embrace and held him too her, praying that what he said was true.
Alrighty then…that's the first bit. Let me know if you like and if I should continue!
