A/N: Okayyy matters of business first
1. I do not own
a. School of Rock, or any of the characters
b. This song. It's is by Weezer, "My Best Friend" from the CD Make Believe.
2. Please don't Flame. It's a slash–so if you don't want to read it: DON'T. It is no longer my responsibility. Besides, I think they're funny to read, but a waste of your time and mine. So please, let's be mature peeople.
3. Thanks so much for reading! I love Weezer and School of Rock, and I like this Fanfic, too. Enjoy! R and R :)
When
everything is wrong I'll come talk to you
You make things alright
when I'm feeling blue...
"How could she do this to me, Freddy? It's like she ripped out my heart, stuck it in a blender, and turned it on." Zach was at his best friend's house, sitting on his couch and leaning into his chest crying. Freddy had never seen Zach like this before, even when he lost his favorite Led Zeppelin CD.
"Come on man," Freddy said, trying desperately to cheer his friend up. "Katie's not that great, and if she is stupid enough to give you up, something screwey is definitely going on in her head."
"No, Freddy. I'm the one who's stupid. Why did I ever think someone as talented, pretty, and smart as her would ever want to be with me?" Freddy's mouth fell open. How could he think that about himself? Zach was the most amazing person he had ever met. He would never tell anyone this, but he loved him. Loved him more than he could ever love any girl, or boy for that matter. Zach was perfect, and it killed Freddy to see him hurting like this.
...I'm
here right beside you
I will never leave you
and I feel the
pain you feel when you start crying...
"How could you say that Zach?" Zach looked up at Freddy, his head still resting on his shoulder. "You're the best guitar player this world has ever seen. You're so kind and understanding, and you never judge me no matter what I do." Freddy was forgetting why he was saying what he was saying but he felt like he just had to tell his friend how he felt. "You are so smart, and not just in school. You can tell how I'm feeling, and why, at any given moment, and know just how to make it better. You can always make me laugh, and you're so fun to be around. Whenever I see you my heart skips a beat...the way your hair falls in your eyes just makes me want to–"Freddy realized what he was saying at this point andhe immediately shut his mouth, afraid he already said too much.
...There
is no other one who can take your place
I feel happy inside when I
see your face
I hope you believe me
Cause I speak sincerelyand
I mean it when I tell you that I need you...
Zach sat very still for a long time, an eternity it seemed like to Freddy, just looking into the blonde haired boy's eyes. Freddy felt as though he was reading right into his soul, and it scared him. Zach came closer to him, so he could feel his breath, warm and sweet, on his face. He felt his stomach churn and felt as though he would faint. He felt himself leaning closer to his friend, no longer in control of his actions, and pressed his lips softly against the brunette's. He had been waiting years for this moment. The kiss was a question, soft and slow, but he could immediately sense the answer as Zach put his hands around his neck, pulling himself closer to him. Freddy seized the opportunity, pulling his love by the waist onto his lap. He slipped his tongue into Zach's mouth, letting his emotions get the better of him. He traced his fingers down the other boy's chest, feeling every inch, memorizing the curves of his body.
As they pulled apart, Freddy rested his forehead on Zach's.
"I love you." Freddy said softly.
"I love you too."
...You're
my best friend
and I love you, and I love you
Yes I do...
