''So what do I owe the pleasure of your presence today Miss Swan'', Regina asked with her back to Emma in her Mayors office.
Emma immediately picked up a cushion and launched it at the back of Regina from her seated position, almost instantaneously regretting it as she witnessed Reginas' back tense and her stance become impossibley more rigid than usual, as she ajusted herself from organising papers. Without turning she growled
''What on Earth do you think you are doing?'' spinning now to face the culprit.
''My name is Emmmaaaa'' she enlongated for effect, Reginas brows furrowed.
''Yes I am quite aware, I was refering to your audacity.. a throw pillow, seriously Swan?''
''Well If you refered to me as my given name like you're supposed to do then maybe I wouldn't have felt the need to remind you by force.''
''We are in my office SWAN, therefore I am the Mayor ...you are the Sheriff, It's how this works'', her timbre lowering further to emphasise she wasn't joking.
''Well I didn't get the memo REGINAAAA.'' Lengthening her name too would only serve to annoy her faster.
''Try to restrain yourself Swan, least I have to do it for you.'' Regina almost sighed, growing tired of this meeting only a minute in.
''You promise?'' Emmas' face taking on a dopey innocent appearance.
''Do you have a breathaliser on you?'' Swans face contorted into confusion wondering where that came from
''No why?''
''Because I am fairly certain being drunk on the job is an offence, you are aware of that I presume?''
''I'm not drunk'' Emma scoffed, Regina approached her so swiftly she almost flinched. Reginas hands gripped the arms of the chair an leant forward assessing Emma up close.
Her eyes emulated that of a doe or perhaps trapped pray in this given situation, her mouth and overall expression that of a guilty child.
''Jeeze ever heard of personal space?''
''I am aware of the concept yes'' Reginas eyes roamed Emmas' looking for fluctuations in her pupils that weren't due to light exposure, also reluctantly sniffing subtly to assure Emma infact wasn't drinking.
''You know if you liked me that much Regina, you could have just told me'', Emma said in a deeper mocking yet charming voice.
''Hilarious... you could do with a mint for future reference'', Mills withdrew having deemed Emma sober but odder than usual, which was a spectacular feat.
''So there will be a future insident to reference?'' Emma quirked an eyebrow, before commenting on the rest of Reginas' sentance.
''... and hey offended what's wrong with my breath?''
''I just told you, you need a mint, you do the math''
''So you don't wanna kiss me then?'' the Sheriff gave a lobsided grin, as Reginas' eyes almost doubled in size retracting instantly to that of a scowl.
''What is wrong with you today Swan? and yes your breath smells sickly of overly sweeted pastries and stale coffee'' she grimaced at the memory of it.
''Nothing's wrong with me besides having a Mayor threaten to restrain me, accuse me of being a drunk, proceeding to invade my bubble of personal space then informs me I need a mint. I mean honestly if you're going to stand so close it's your own fault for sniffing up my bear claw breakfast woman!''
''Who are you calling woman!?''
''The wooooman facing me.''
''I'm far too tired for this, how do I make you stop?''
''By calling me Emma for future reference.''
''Clever! ... fine Emmmmmaaa, what do I owe the unfettered pleasure of your underwhelming presence today?''
''Just wanted to say hi if I'm honest.''
''Get...out.''
''Alright catch ya later Miss Mills.''
''OUT!''
