Author's Note: Just a short drabble between the Doctor and Rose.. set just after Doomsday, between the Runaway Bride & Smith and Jones. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who or any of the characters, and I don't own the song, which is titled "Heather," and it was written/performed by Vic Mignogna. (I met him, he's really sweet XD)

You, my love… You were in my dream tonight. And there, everything was just… so right. The beauty of it all… was all because of you. This moment, stopped in time, was too good to be true.

The Doctor had this dream often. He and his Rose, together in paradise… laying on a blanket together, watching the sunset. He smiled in his sleep, something he would never admit to, even if he knew it was true.

And I could hear the breezes blow… You smiled by the light of the candles burning low… to stars we called our own, enthralled the evening sky… as if to tell the rest they were shining just for you and I.

In the painfully realistic dream, Rose smiled… the smile she saved only for him… and looked up at the twinkling stars above. The Doctor whispered in Rose's ear for her to choose which one they visited next. She giggled, and there again was that smile.

Oh, Rose… you took me far away tonight... the summer's loneliness driven far from sight. We didn't have to speak, no words could quite compare… but as I touched your hand, you suddenly weren't there…

The Doctor smiled at his Rose and caressed her cheek. When he reached for her hand, however, she disappeared. The Doctor's eyes opened.

Then, the pillow felt the tears… the weeks we've been apart could outlast a thousand years… and though my dream's now out of sight, I pray that as my eyes close tight…

There was nothing the Doctor could do to stop the flow of tears this time. He'd been strong enough to suppress it back at Canary Wharf, but now… at least he was alone.

That you'll fill my dreams again… tonight.

The Doctor wasn't one to pray… not really… but he'd pray the entire day for just one more dream with Rose.

Tonight.
