Mistletoe II: Jack and Sam

It was the night of the party, and Janet and Cassie were putting up decorations with the help of Daniel, who kept stopping Janet to hold some mistletoe above her head so he'd have an excuse to kiss her.(A/N: Bad Daniel!!)

They had just finished when Cassie said, "We forgot something!"

"What, Cassie?" Janet asked, knowing what was going to happen.

"The mistletoe! How am I supposed to get Sam and Jack together without mistletoe?" Cassie reddened as she realized what she just said.

"Don't worry. I've got it." Janet said while snatching the mistletoe from Daniel. Daniel started pouting when she took it away. "Watch it, Daniel, or no kisses until the new year."

"Thanks, mom!" Cassie breathed a sigh of relief as she took it and put it up. "Just in time, too. They're here!" The doorbell rang.

"Hey, Jack! Hey, Sam! Tek'ma'tek, Teal'c. You guys ready to party?" Cassie said. They all nodded.

Teal'c commented on her use of the Goa'uld language. "That was very good, Cassandra Frasier. Your language skills are improving greatly."

"Thank you, Teal'c. Party time!" Cassie shouted. "I'll get the snacks, beer, and soda, mom!" Jack perked up.

"There's beer? I didn't know there was going to be beer." Jack said excitedly. Hmm… Maybe his like for beer will come in handy. Cassie thought.

"What do you guys want?" Cassie asked.

"Beer!"

"Diet coke!"

"I will have the same as Major Carter. She has informed me that diet sodas have a vastly superior taste than the regular ones."

"Okay, but Jack and Sam, can I have your help carrying the snacks?" Cassie asked. Jack and Sam went over to help her when Janet and Daniel shouted "STOP! Look up." Jack and Sam did look up. They both gulped.

"Mistletoe." Cassie said with an evil grin. "You have to kiss!" Sam and Jack looked at each other, grinned and promptly started kissing.

Next scene line!

Once Sam and Jack decided to come up for air, they were met with cheers. Wven Teal'c was happy. There was one BIG problem with the whole relationship. The regulations.

Before Sam said anything about it, Jack said, "I'm retiring." He pulled a sheet of paper out of his pocket. "All that's left is to sign it, date it, and hand it in."

"Sir!" Sam started. "You can't just-"

"Oh, yes I can, Sam. So quit calling me sir, and start calling me Jack!"

"But, sir!" Jack threw her a warning glance. "Jack!" He walked back to her and started kissing her.

"There's a saying that I heard. 'You can dream your tommorows, and cherish your yesterdays, but always remember to live your todays.' I thought it appropriate."

"So let me guess. We don't know what tomorrow can bring, so enjoy the moment?" Sam guessed.

"Yup." was all he said. And all he had to.
