One day while Rory was studying at her dorm at Yale there is a knock on her door so she walks out of her room through the common room and answers the door.
''A...Aunt Karen what...what are you doing here?'' Rory asks her
''hey sweetie I just came to see you and was around town and was wondering if you wanted to get a cup of coffee with me and walk around or get some lunch with me?'' Karen asks her
''um well ok yea sure let me just go and get my credit card then we can go.'' Rory tells her
''oh no need sweetie lunch is on me.'' Karen tells her
''oh okay thanks let's go then.'' Rory says and shuts her door and locks it.
They leave the dorm and walk around.
''so how's Jennifer?'' Rory asks her
''good she's doing great up and thriving at Barnard up in Manhatten in NYC.'' Karen tells her
''oh that's cool um what is she majoring in?'' Rory asks her
''oh english she wants to be an english teacher.'' Karen tells her
''aww that's cool.'' Rory says
''yea it is cool.'' Karen tells her
''and how about Jarred what's he up to?'' Rory asks her
''he's doing great also at the University of North Carolina and he loves and has always wanted to be a tar heel and Max is doing well in middle school.'' Karen tells her
''aww well thats good.'' Rory says
''yea so what about you how are you doing sweetie?'' Karen asks her
''I'm good journalism is good and I love it.'' Rory tells her
''good you should.'' Karen says
''so how's your mom hun?'' Karen asks her
''oh I don't know I've just been so bsuy with studying and stuff that I haven't had a minute to sit down and call and talk to her and I miss her really badly.'' Rory tells her
''aww yea I bet you do.'' Karen says
