This is just a conversation I thought up while I was eating lunch a few weeks ago. It's basically a one-shot conversation between Janeway and Chakotay. Please R&R~!

Janeway: What if I fall in love with you?

Chakotay: I'd fall right in love with you as well.

Janeway: What if I resist falling in love with you?

Chakotay: I'd chase you and make you realize you love me.

Janeway: What if we let our feelings judge our lives?

Chakotay: We'd be happy.

Janeway: What if I wanted to marry you?

Chakotay: I'd accept your proposal.

Janeway: What if we get lost in a shuttle craft, and never return to Voyager again?

Chakotay: We'd make Tuvok the Captain, and we'd find some planet to settle down on…

Janeway: What if we decide to have children?

Chakotay: We'd have children.

Janeway: What if I was afraid of…having children.

Chakotay: I'd show you that it's nothing to be afraid of.

Janeway: What if I decide to have children, even though I'm afraid?

Chakotay: I'll be there with you the whole entire time to make sure nothing happens.

Janeway: What if something does happen, and you can't help it.

Chakotay: I'll do everything in my power to help and comfort you.

Janeway: What if I come across a problem during pregnancy?

Chakotay: I'll be there.

Janeway: What if the baby dies before it's born?

Chakotay: I'll mourn with you.

Janeway: What if the baby lives?

Chakotay: We'll raise it together.

Janeway: What if the baby is more than we can handle?

Chakotay: It won't be.

Janeway: What if you don't love me anymore?

Chakotay: I'll love you until the end of time.

Janeway: What if you have lied to me all this time?

Chakotay: I wouldn't do that, you know.

Janeway: What if we become old?

Chakotay: I'd be honored to grow old with you.

Janeway: What if I die before you die?

Chakotay: I'd be lost in grief over you.

Janeway: What if I don't love you?

Chakotay: I'd die.

Janeway: What if …

Chakotay: Heck with all the 'what if's', Kathryn. I just asked do you like me!??!
