Author Notes: Another little drabble that was written to fill in time. In a way it's sort of a side-along drabble to "Attraction" but I didn't intend it to be when I wrote it so it isn't really, okay? ENJOY!

Watching

She rarely took to watching the boys of Hogwarts. She knew other girls did it at every chance they had; Ginny always had her eyes on some part of Harry, whether it be his backside or his bicep. Lavender was the worst of all, drooling in Ron's direction like she was starving dog and Ron was an incredibly delicious meaty bone. Parvati was different and usually turned her attention to the boys from the other houses.

When Hermione let her eyes wander, however, she took in the whole picture, as she was now. Terry Boot grinned at her as he walked by and Hermione contemplated his body, though she found little that attracted her. Dean Thomas, who had always been easy on her eyes, then came to sit next to Seamus and she sat back, taking in his flawless dark face and neat hair.

Her eyes were drawn away however, when Ron stood up and stretched. Ron was her favourite of all of them; she loved his height and his broad shoulders. The muscles he had developed in his training sessions with Harry always caused her breath to catch. However, as she licked her lips and examined the arm beneath his navy blue shirt, her eyes were drawn away by yet another boy who caught her attention across the hall.

The sleek silver blonde hair was immaculately combed and his pale skin was flawless. He wore robes as always but they hung open at the front, revealing jeans and a grey sweater, most likely of an expensive wizard brand. He was laughing with his friends and Hermione bit her lip at the sight of his sheer beauty.

No, he was her favourite of all of them.

"Hermione why are you looking at Malfoy like that?"

She watched Draco Malfoy for another moment, smiling, before looking back at Ron.

She blushed and grinned but said nothing, waiting for Ron's suspicious eyes to leave her.

She turned once more in her chair and found her eyes met stormy grey.

Her heart stopped and than pounded.

It was a long moment before either one of them looked away.
