You wither right before my eyes
I force myself not to look away
The sight makes the fire you lit within me
engorge my heart in flame
You said you weren't worthy of my love
yet it is I who hold your hand now
as death reaches for you
Who will hold mine
when immortality threatens me with loneliness?
Stay with us, we need you

You are my strength
the wind that keeps the sail taut
You were the daylight that chased away the shadows
during the darkest of days
I cannot go on without you

With tears in your eyes you bid me farewell
The leaves fall around us
reminding me that time will not stand still
In the end, I will remain alone
I feel fate as she taps on my shoulder
So relentless she is
Merciless as eternity
