"Ugh! Alice, why do we have to go clothes shopping every month? What's wrong with re-wearing outfits?"
"You know I can't let you do that, Bella. It's against my nature!"
"Do I have to bring Renesmee along every time? She is so bored, and since you won't let Jacob come, she is kind of freaked out!"
"Fine, let's just order the clothes!"
"Can we let Emmett order them at home? I could call him."
"Sure." Alice said with a pouting expression.
"Hey!" Emmett said. "Why are you calling me? I hate anything to do with clothes or shopping!"
I nonchalantly walked far enough away from Alice so that she couldn't hear the conversation, always making sure Renesmee was with me so Alice couldn't see this in her visions.
"So…." said Emmett impatiently.
"I want you to prank Alice. Order all of the wrong clothes. Make sure they look tacky. She'll freak!" At the end of that sentence I snickered maniacally, like I was a four-year-old plotting to steal a cookie from the cookie jar.
The clothes came one week later, and Alice, as usual, opened the box. Then, something unusual happened. When Alice saw the clothes, the house bust into flames! The fire department didn't get there on time, and the whole living room was burned. Everyone had to stay in the cottage. We had enough room, although most people had to sleep in the closet. The house was fixed the next week. Alice never found out that Emmett had done it, and she never went shopping at that store ever again! She hasn't gotten mad enough to try out her new talent again.
