This Is Our Story

Chapter 1

My name is Amahy. And my story begins on Besaid Island. My twin sister, Yuna, chose to become a summoner. Though I did everything I could to stop her, she did it anyway. Lulu was like an older sister to us both, Kimahri Ronso, had protected Yuna and I since we were 7 years old. Wakka was like an older brother to us. Kimahri brought us to Besaid Island after Sin had been defeated 10 years ago. A man had told him our father wanted us brought here. I hated my father. He chose to become a summoner and he died. Leaving 2 seven year old children behind with no mother. He was selfish and in my mind he only wanted the fame and glory. Our mother died when we were maybe 2 or 3. I swore I would protect Yuna, and protect her I would until the very end of my days.

Now here I was in the chamber of the Fayth, waiting for Yuna with Lulu and Kimahri. I heard someone coming down. As I turned I saw Wakka and for a minute I thought I was looking at his younger brother Chappu as well. But I was not.

"What are you doing here? Didn't think we'd be able to handle it?" Lulu asked standing up.

"No! I…."

He whispered something to the man and Lulu stopped in front of them.

"Is the Summoner alright?"

Now I stood and walked straight to him.

"And who are you to worry about it?" I asked.

He seemed a little intimidated. Then the door opened. I turned and out came my older sister Yuna. Well…8 minutes older. She was stumbling and then she started to fall down the stairs. I rushed forward and Kimahri caught her. I kneeled beside her.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

She smiled at me like she always did. I smiled and hugged her.

"I love you."

"I love you too big sis." I said.

She stood up and then smiled at Wakka and Lulu.

"I've done it! I have become a summoner!" She said.

I wanted to be happy for her, but I could not. I did not want her to be a summoner. We followed her outside and I noticed the man watching her. I pulled him off to the side.

"I hope I make myself clear when I say stay away from my sister. She may be sweet, loving and gentle, but I am not. I protect her with my life."

I let him go and then walked outside. I watched Yuna summon her first Aeon and I smiled because I knew she was proud. There was a large bonfire that night in celebration. The people of Besaid did not trust me or like me that much. But they tolerated me because of who my father was, and I hated that.

"Amahy."

I looked at Lulu. She knelt down in front of me.

"I know you don't like this."

"How can you tell?" I asked.

She chuckled. I looked over at the man.

"He looks a lot like Chappu." I said.

When I looked back at Lulu she seemed a bit sad. I put my hands on her shoulders.

"He would not want for you to be sad. He would want you to remember him with love and happiness."

She smiled a bit.

"You're right. But are you alright?"

I nodded.

"I think I will just go home right now. I never was on for parties and big crowds."

"Do you want me to come with you?"

I smiled and shook my head.

"No that is alright. You stay and enjoy."

She nodded and I made my way down to the beach. I built the house myself because I was sick of all the comments and looks I got in the village. I looked Al Behd. My eyes were green and my hair was long and blond, but unlike most Al Behd my pupils were normal. I lay down on my bed and looked out through the roof window at the stars. I fell asleep, and I dreamed of a man. Garbed in red and wielding a large sword.
