Disclaimer: I don't own Hetalia

"Spain, I'll never pass this test! I'm going to fail!" Romano wailed angrily.

Spain looked up from his own math book, "You will not fail, believe me. You just have to relax and focus. Here, let me help you." Spain set down his book and took Romano's in his hands. He began asking the Italian math questions; Romano got every question wrong.

"See, I told you, I'm going to fail!" He grumbled under his breath. He crossed his arms angrily in front of his chest and huffed in annoyance. He couldn't help if he sucked at math, he just didn't understand it and he didn't know what to do. he didn't want to fail, but he didn't know if anyone could help.

Spain gave the smaller boy a sympathetic look. "Okay, well don't give up hope yet. Let's try this again," he said patiently.

An hour and a half later of intense help and studying, Romano sat across from Spain who was holding his book again. Spain began asking questions again and Romano answered each one without missing a beat. After all the questions were answered, Spain closed the book and Romano gave an uncharacteristically triumphant smile.

"We did it! I did it! I got all the questions right! Thank you so much!" He leaned over his books and kissed Spain. He quickly realized what he was doing and pulled away swiftly. He looked at the ground as his cheeks began to burn. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…" His voice trailed off. What the hell just happened? He asked himself. What did I just do?

Spain laughed. Romano felt hurt and angry that he was being laughed at. He looked up to give the Spaniard a mean glare, but he met Spain's lips instead. They were warm, soft, and gentle. Romano closed his eyes and breathed in Spain's scent, enjoying the moment.
