THE DAY THE GREEN BEAN WENT BAD (Part one)
Once upon a time, in a kingdom far away, there was a cook named Gina, who went to market. She needed some green beans for Queen Flannery form La-la land. For she was very proud to be the royal cook for Dream Land, where Queen Flannery would be staying.
While wandering, Gina came to a shop. "Hello there," said the shopkeeper, who was really the convicted cook, Thornbread, in disguse.
"Hello," replied Gina, "I need some green beans, for I am the royal cook, Gina Lin."
"Well, Mrs. Lin, Since you are the royal cook, then there is no fee for them." Thornbread said, giving the happy cook a bag of beans. "Thank you!"
What Gina didn't know was that Thornbread's green beans were moldy. (For, Green Beans being moldy is particularly hard to tell, due to the fact that they were all ready green) Thus Gina began preparing dinner at once.
Stir the stew, bake the chicken, cook the roast. Oh, how Gina was getting bored! What she would give up to make the cakes and eat them herself!
Just then, Poot, (The royal page) Came tumbling in. "Mrs. Lin! Mrs Lin! Queen Katya here by declares that you join her at the feast,"
"Oh, what an honour!" Gina exclaimed
"Oh, and Mrs. Lin?"
"What, Poot?"
"Queen Katya wants you to bring the green beans because they are Queen Flannery's favourite dish."
"Thank you fo reminding me!" Gina grabbed the bag.
"Waitress Helene, bring in the green beans, and Poot, get the royal jester, Riza, in here at once!"
"Yes, you're majesties," Both Poot and Waitress Helene dashed down the hall, bumping into Gin aand her green beans. Waitress Helene smiled. "Thanks, now I don't have to get them!"
Seconds later, Waitress Helene was serving the beans, and jester Riza was telling jokes.
"Why did the chicken cross the road?" She said. Queen Flannery and Queem Katya were silent. "To get to the other side! Get it!" Queen Katya butted in. "Err, Jester Riza just needs some warming up--" It was too late, for Queen Flannery was jumping up an down in rage.
"DISGRACE! These green beans are MOLDY! Queen Katya, this is war!"
