A shudder vibrated through her small figure as she dipped her left foot into the cool waters east of her New Bark home. Inhaling, she dipped the other foot in, going down about ankle-deep, and settling herself on the dirt beneath her. Her eyes, squinted, could barely envision the few boulders ahead, and the first landmark of Kanto. Lyra let a smile gently grace her features. She was remembered of her first time surfing through this body of water to reach the neighboring region. Tilting her head back, the brunette closed her eyes as she basked in the sun's warm rays. Surprisingly, the winds weren't too chilly.
Her eyebrows furrowed as she felt an obstacle shading her face from the sun. One peek of her hazels, and her mouth rang with her joyous giggle.
"A penny for your thoughts?" Silver offered coolly. His figure was towards her left, a bit bend down and shading her face from the sun's light. He was absent of his shoes, socks, and jacket, only being in a black tee and his pants – which were rolled up to just below his knee.
As Silver took a seat next to her, dipping in his feet into the water as well, Lyra pointed ahead of her. "Just remembering my first time in Kanto."
His eyes followed towards the horizons, blinking. "Not really much of a difference from Johto. Except that it's warmer."
"Mhm…" she trailed off, leaning her head against his shoulder. The two watched the light waves and occasional ripple effects among the water's surface. While he went on to think about their last battle, Lyra's mind trailed to his own development throughout their four years of relationship. From strangers, to rivals, to friend, and eventually, lovers, the brunette realized just how much they've been able to bond.
Suddenly, she giggled one again, shaking Silver out of his somewhat dazed state. Sitting up, he inched his head towards her, raising an eyebrow. "What now."
"I just realized how ironic you are."
"… Explain yourself, before you drive me into another headache." His eyes squinted.
"Well…" Lifting her head from his shoulder, Lyra stroked her chin before speaking. "You'd think that you'd get colder when arriving to Johto… but you've gotten warmer." All she met was his dumbfounded expression, which made her pull her feet out of the water, and move to kneel behind him. Her arms clung around his neck, emitting an unexpected grunt from the redhead. "You've gotten soft."
His girlfriend's cheek pressed to his. "Are we talking about temperature or personality – you've lost me." Raising up one hand, he cupped it over one of her arms with a mumble under his breath.
Silver found himself hiding his smile as all she did was laugh and tighten her arms around him. It wasn't ironic, he was from Kanto, anyway.
