It seemed like my life was falling apart and I didn't know how to piece it back together without going back to Jacob. I needed to bring my life together without being blinded by Quileute magic. There was no way I was turning back now, Mom has agreed for me to go back to Compton to live with my father's brother and his wife.
I was packing when I heard pebbles tapping on my window, I sighed heavily and rolled my eyes. I shut my blinds and ignored who was continuing to throw pebbles at my window.
I got a few missed calls and I ignored them all. Around eleven thirty when I was finished. I climbed into bed and shut off my phone. A knock came to my door when I was about to shut off my lamp.
Mom walked in, "Hey, baby."
She came to sit next to my on my bed beside me, and hugs me, she actually seems taken aback from the heat of my skin. Something I won't be a problem to her anymore, "Hey, mom."
"You really sure you wanna leave me and Michael? If you don't wanna see those kids you hang out with, I could transfer you to Forks," She says, still hasn't even let me go yet.
I actually consider that, I haven't even thought of that, "Isn't it too late?"
"Your uncle just called to make sure and he said he'd actually rather you stay here because there's been problems at the school and his neighborhood. They're going to be moving soon too he said," I listen to mom.
I really didn't want to leave despite my angry thoughts earlier, I already miss my mom and I was supposed to leave twelve hours from now. But the pain was still fresh from loosing my father.
"Baby, I know you're hurting and I know you miss Daddy. But Michael and I need you more than you know or want to know. I really want you to stay, and I'll transfer you to Forks if that's what you really want," She says and her voice cracked a few times during her sentence.
I hugged her back and felt the knot in my throat welling tears in my eyes, "I'm sorry for how I have been acting, mommy. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry or mad at me. I'm so sorry," I sobbed.
"Oh, babygirl," She was crying now too, "Babygirl, I don't blame you for any of it. You're hurting, we're both hurting. It's okay, baby, it's okay."
"Mommy..." I sobbed, I hug her tighter and hold her close to me, "I love you so much."
"I love you too babygirl, more than I can ever explain," She holds me closer and kisses my head several times.
"Isn't this just precious," We both look up to see a stone white man with bright crimson eyes, Michael was in his arms.
My nose was burning with the scent of a bloodsucker, a growl rumbled in my chest as my tearful eyes turned into fire. Mom loosen her grip on me if I needed to spring to attack and I wouldn't her with me and harm her.
"Who are you?" Mom demands but there a shame in her voice from fear.
"If you hurt my brother I will rip you to shreds," I growled, my body slightly trembling when I stood to my feet.
"Oh I bet you will, mutt," He smirks wickedly and then there's a howl outside.
His smirk disappears, "Even if you get away here, you won't make it out of the reservation in one piece or even alive."
He snarls at me, "You don't scare me, bloodsucker."
