A German class assignment. Done in pairs. Two people sitting on a plane have a conversation in German. The two characters chosen for this skit are The Doctor and Sherlock Holmes. I apologize in advance for any mistakes, we have just started learning German.

TD: Hallo! Ich bin der Doktor, und wer sind Sie?
Hello! I am The Doctor, and who might you be?

SH: Sherlock Holmes, der weltweit einzige beratende Detektiv. Welche Art von Doktor sind Sie? Sie sind weder Arzt noch Professor.
Sherlock Holmes, the world's only consulting detective. What kind of doctor? You are not a medic nor a professor.

TD: Naja, eigentlich bin ich beides. Wie lange bleiben Sie in Deutschland?
Well both actually. How long are you staying in Germany?

SH: Solange es dauert, um die Schuldigen zu finden. Mit all den Beweisen, sage ich etwa drei Tage voraus.
As long as it takes to find the culprit. With all the evidence, I predict about three days.

TD: Ich werde eine Raum-Zeit-Anomalie, die etwas mit der Pest zu tun hat, untersuchen. Was für eine Art Fall ist es? Ist es ein Mord? Ich liebe einen guten Mordfall.
I'm going to investigate a Time-space anomaly. Something to do with the plague. What kind of case is it? Is it a murder? I love a good murder case.

SH: Nein, es ist kein Mord. Mein Bruder hat mich gebeten es annehmen. Etwas mit dem internationalen Politik und Intrigen, dass ich nicht erlaubt, im Detail zu besprechen. Raum-Zeit-anomaly sagen Sie? Ich habe von nicht wusste, Theorien oder gar Anomalien gehört.
No it is not a murder. My brother asked me to take it on. Something with international politics and intrigue that I'm not allowed to discuss in detail. Time-space anomaly you say? I have heard of no new theories let alone anomalies.

TD: Oh, das ist richtig. Timey-Wimey Zeug (you would probably use something else in German, with Zeit) und bequeme Stühle. Wie viele Fälle haben Sie gelöst ( solved)? Oh, und nebenbei sind Sie einer meiner Lieblingsdetektive.
Oh, that's right. Timey-Wimey stuff and comfortable chairs. How many cases have you done? Oh, and by the way you are one of my favorite detectives.

SH: Wie wissen Sie von mir? Sie sollten besser nicht Teil eines Verbrechersyndikats sein. Und ernsthaft, Timey-Wimey? (I'm guessing now that you meant:" You are intriguing. To answer your question..." ) Sie sind faszinierend. Um Ihre Frage zu beantworten, ich habe 137 Fälle erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Wo kommen Sie her? Ihr Akzent ist unverkennbar Britisch, doch Ihr Verhalten ist nicht menschlich.
How do you know of me? You had best not be part of a crime syndicate. And truly, Timey-Wimey? You are an intriguing answer your question, I have completed 137 succesful cases. Where do you come from? Your accent is unmistakably British, yet your demeanor is inhuman.

TD: Sie sind sehr berühmt, wann und wo ich herkomme. Und ja, ich bin kein Mensch. Technisch gesehen sind Sie der Alien für mich. Genug geredet, ich glaube, wir landen gleich. Guten Tag Herr Holmes.
