Dry Bowser, Petey Piranha, and Toadette were all racing around Isle Delfino in modified Mercedes vehicles, with them going around Delfino Plaza and the Piantas and Nokis were all cheering on them.
"I'm going to win this easily!" Dry Bowser stated as he brushed back his red hair, nodding his skull. "And neither of you two are going to stop me!"
"Yeah? Well get a load of this!" Toadette exclaimed as she began letting out big farts, laughing as she fanned the air with one of her hands. "I got plenty of ways to speed right past you!"
After getting distracted by Toadette farting, Petey chuckled as he pulled up next to Dry Bowser, spewing brown goop onto the skeletal reptile as he took the lead for himself, with them approaching the final line waiting at the middle of the pier, right in front of the Grand Pianta Statue. Just as all three of them were about to make it... time froze, causing the racing trio to be left confused as they had no idea what was occurring.
