Sonny Monroe had a world of chances for Chad Dylan Cooper. She gave them out so often now that it hurt. He'd beg for forgiveness and she'd give him it freely and willingly. She didn't even warn him about second chances- he was on more than that. Some examples of his behaviour were:

1: Drunkenly kissing someone outside a nightclub. This was the first mistake and Sonny had given him the disappointed look whilst he cried, saying he was ashamed. She'd lent him her shoulder, and they put the incident behind them.

2: Telling the media that even though Sonny was his girlfriend and he loved her very much, he hated 'So Random!', and they made all the girls except for snake girl (Zora) dress like sluts. Sonny had read the article and cried, but still forgave him.

3: Arguing with Sonny's parents heatedly before storming out saying, "CDC doesn't need this". Sonny had forgiven him immediately. It wasn't his fault that her parents didn't get on with him.

4: Kissing Tawni and blaming it on her. Sonny automatically believed him, and cut off Tawni from Sonny's life. After all, why would Chad lie to her?Sonny got home first to the house that she and Chad shared, and found that Chad wasn't there. She couldn't take it anymore. The fighting, all the chances. She wanted to save her chances. Running up to their bedroom, she grabbed a paper and pen and realised, 'I have a world of chances for him.'

Sighing, she found her guitar and recorder. It burnt her songs straight onto a CD if there was one in. Sonny heard her phone beep; she had a message from Chad; he had late filming. Don't start eating without him. She threw her phone at the wall and watched the pieces scatter across the room. About ten minutes later, Sonny had the song. She placed a CD in the recorder, and clicked on 'record'. "Hey Chad." She started. "I'm sorry." and then she started to sing.

"You've got a face for a smile, you know.

A shame you waste it when you're breaking me slowly,

But I've got a world of chances for you,

I've got a world of Chances for you,

I've got a world of chances,

Chances that you're burning through.

I've got a paper and pen.

I go to write you goodbye and that's when I know,

I've got a world of chances for you,

I've got a world of chances for you,

I've got a world of chances,

Chances that you're burning through.

Oh, I'm going my own way,

My faith has lost it's strength again,

Oh, it's been to hard to say,

We're falling off the edge again,

We're at an end,

We're at an end.

Maybe you'll call me someday,

Hear the operator say the numbers no good,

And that she had a world of chances for you,

She had a world of chances for you,

She had a world of chances for you,

She had a world of chances,

Chances you were burning through,

Chances you were burning through."

"Bye Chad." Sonny whispered, and clicked the 'off' button on the recorder. She took her CD and placed it in an envelope. She wrote 'PLAY ME' on the front, gathered up her clothes and belongings, placed them in her car, piled high, and put the envelope on the side by the door. She walked out, locked the door, and posted the keys into the letter box. Then she got in the car, and started on the long drive to Wisconsin. And d'you know what? She didn't look back.
