Worth Waiting For
It shouldn't surprise him. He should have expected it. She had always played hard to get. When he asked her out it was another month before she said 'yes' that month of course filled with more asking. When he had wanted to kiss her for the first time under that beautiful full moon she made him wait two weeks to kiss her under any circumstance. When he had licked her delicious lips begging for entrance she had kept an iron jaw for another week. And never had a man been so frightened of proposing to his girlfriend of 4 years than he was. He was certain absolutely curtain she would say 'no' and make him do it again. When he did ask though it turned out that she only made him wait a few seconds for the answer he so desperately wanted 'yes.'
So naturally his mind had been thinking that due to the way things were going the wait time would be nearly none existant now. That was not true. Katara kept her mouth tightly shut when he had asked for entrance on their honeymoon. And after he finally got into her mouth you wouldn't believe how long it took him to get into other warm moist holes.
So naturally she would make him wait for this too. Ten months pregnant TEN no one was pregnant for ten months nine days three hours five minutes and twenty two seconds! No one except his beloved Katara who always made him wait for everything. Now he was pacing the waiting room where five hours ago he stood when she had first gone into labor. He was ready to rip his hair out and he had already caused the fire alarm to go off twice from how much smoke he had been exhaling. How could someone be in labor for FIVE hours. "Damnit Katara!" he shouted as he looked up at the ceiling and marked down number three for setting off the fire alarm.
Another hour of waiting before her screaming finally stopped another half hour before he was let into the room. Another twenty minutes before his two children were brought into see him. And another fifteen before he was allowed, by his wife, to hold them. But as everything else was with her it was worth waiting for.
