Challenge Word: Plant
A/N: I had just finished watching Season 9 "Slumber Party" and this happened. The drabble slammed into my brain while waiting in line at a Subway (footlong tuna on herb bread with spinach and cucumbers). Luckily, I had a pen and notepad on me and was able to jot most of it down before I got to the front. These things can hit in the strangest places!
A/N2: This is posted late because I forgot it was Sunday. Technically, I wrote this drabble several days ago, and I've been eagerly counting down the days until posting. Then the day came, and it's been so hectic that I completely forgot! Because of work schedule issues for some of my family, we celebrated the 4th of July today (on the 5th). So much fun! But I'm exhausted. Posting this and collapsing into my bed. It's calling to me. Can you hear it?

"What the hell is that?"
"This? It's a plant."
"I'm not stupid, Sam. What's it doing here?"
"Look, I know it bothers you that I haven't settled in here at the bunker. I just don't see this place as home and I never will."
"Yeah, I get that. But what's with the potted salad?"
"Well, this may not be home for me, but it is for you, so... here. Happy housewarming."
*blushing* "Really?"
"It's a ZZ plant."
"As in ZZ Top? Awesome!"
"Uh, yeah, I guess. Anyway, it's supposed to grow well in artificial light."
"Thanks Sammy."
"You're welcome, Dean."
