Lucy sat in the library reading a book. Her cousins were constantly teasing her for being just like her dad. She was well on her way to becoming head girl, and honestly could care less what her family said about her. She was just starting to gather her parchments and quills when she saw one of the Scamander twins head into the stacks crying. Leaving her books behind on the table, she followed the sound of the boy's crying until she spotted him hiding behind a large teetering stack of books.
"Lorcan is that you?"
"Yes," he answered sniffing.
"What's the matter?" Lucy was genuinely concerned. She hated to see anyone crying, especially as hard as he was.
"Lysander is a jerk," was the only response he would give her, no matter how hard she prodded.
"Is there anything I can do to make it better?" Lucy asked as she brushed the hair out of Lorcan's eyes.
"Lorcan sat sniffing and thinking for a few minutes before saying, "Make him disappear?"
"I wish it were that easy. If it were I'd make my sister disappear to."
"You mean Molly? She's half the reason Sander and I were fighting."
"Aha! See was that so hard," Lucy teased.
"I guess not," he smiled shyly. "Thanks Lucy."
"No problem. Now how about we get out of here and sneak into the kitchens for some ice cream?" Lorcan's eye's lit up.
"You know how to get into the kitchens?"
"Sure do. Uncle George told me how years ago." The two new friends gathered up the rest of Lucy's things, and headed off towards the kitchens.
