Welcome

By Storm Kennedy

Prologue:

I lie awake to hear the awful screams of the prisoners of this facility. It's not like anyone could get sleep around here anyways. My name in this asylum is 40826, but on the outside world many years ago I was called Landon James Miller. Sounds fancy, huh? Only my roommates call me Landon, the rest mumble or make sounds that don't sound human.

This place is called Moore's Home for the Mentally Disabled, it should be called The Peanut Gallery. About ten out of the three hundred who live here actually talk, if you calculate that, two hundred and ninety of the loony toons don't talk.

As for me, I talk. A lot apparently, even in my sleep I babble like a lunatic. That must be why they sedate me all the time. I mean I talk a lot; I could carry on a conversation for at least four hours. Even longer when I'm talking to myself in my cell. I kinda look like a young Mark Wahlberg, my eyes are a dark brown and I got the hair to match. Sometimes my dad would say I was built like a brick shithouse, I still don't know what that means.

You're asking me how I got in here? Oh, well…I torched another guy when I was about seventeen. I don't know why I did it, all I remember before setting him on fire, was him telling me my mom deserved to be eaten by everyone in town. Although, they didn't quite know that at the time.

Oh, you wanna know about my dad? Uh, well sure. My dad was the famous serial killer Dr. Lenny Miller, his profession was being a doctor to the locals. In his spare time he was a butcher, steadily feeding them victims from his killing frenzy.

I never came to terms about my mothers death, hell, my dad never even knew I was home. He never even knew I existed to the world, only when he wanted to inject me with sleepy juice and have his way with me.

The hatred I had for my father was enough to last a life time, the pain and embarrassment I went though. How do you live with a man who sodomized you until you couldn't sit down or worse, couldn't go to the bathroom without a toilet bowl full of blood? But that's enough for right now, everything else you want or need to know will be told later on. All I have left to say is: Welcome to Moore's, and welcome to my life.
