The Hero's Dagger
By: Cassi
hey guys, this is just a little something i wrote for school with our favorite pair in mind. i hope you like it and don't forget to review! first one gets a cookie!!!!
It digs a metaphorical dagger into my heart
every time you scream, every time you cry.
Don't laugh when there's no twinkle in your eye.
You try to hide it all behind the prison walls that surround you,
but you don't realize every time you do,
the dagger buries itself deeper within.
This dagger, it's metaphorical, yet it's tearing an endless hole inside me.
Yet you don't stop, you can't stop you say.
In another inch, it digs, as you turn away.
I reach out begging, pleading, pretending everything
you have said, to be like the paper littered on the floor,
ignored, meaningless, and useless.
But the begging doesn't hold you,
the pleading doesn't hinder you,
the pretending, however, makes you falter for a few,
till you remember who you are.
And on you keep marching, out the door,
to be the hero, to save the world, as the dagger leaves me hollow.
REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please??? I LOVE YOU IF YOU DID!!!!!!!
