Unfortunately, I don't own the boys or anything Supernatural related. Sad face :(
I'm just a fan who's somewhat new to the series.
My second fanfic.
I'm dying.
That was the first thing that popped into Sam Winchester's head as the Wendigo tightened its long fingers around his throat, pressing him up against the damp cave wall.
Normally it would have simply knocked him out. Kept him as a snack.
But it felt threatened by him, and it wasn't taking any chances.
I'm dying, and there's nothing I can do about it.
Multicolored lights erupted in front of his eyes as his brain started to suffer from lack of oxygen.
Like fireworks.
This was supposed to be just a touch and go case. No one to save. Only something to kill.
I just didn't think it was going to be me saying goodbye.
He told Dean he didn't need him to come. That he could handle it.
Dean didn't argue.
Right now, Dean was banging the petite redhead that caught his eye earlier in the bar.
The last thing on his mind was that something was wrong.
It's just a Wendigo, nothing Sammy can't handle.
So he had stayed behind.
But Sam couldn't handle it.
This one had caught him off guard, snuck up behind him as he was loading up.
Memories were flashing through his head. Like a photo album. Memories he didn't even know he had.
Mom, leaning over my crib, telling me she would always love me.
Dean and Dad, teaching me how to ride a bike without training wheels.
Walking down the hallway of a new school, my hand me down sneakers squeaking on the polished tile.
Setting off fireworks with Dean in Bobby's back yard, the fireflies lighting up the grass around us.
Walking into my college dorm for the first time, thinking "This is it."
Jess, her warm hand in mine.
The lights were fading now.
Everything was going fuzzy.
Warm.
Jessica was there, so was mom and dad.
Beckoning him forward into a welcoming light.
I'm not ready. What about Dean? He needs me.
Try as he might, he couldn't fight the warmth.
It was filling his body.
His arms fell limp by his sides.
Eyes slowly closing.
He was leaving the cave.
Leaving the world.
Leaving Dean.
I'm sorry, Dean. I tried.
I love you.
I'm with mom and dad now, I'm safe.
Goodbye.
